Over 50 years ago, the pioneer residents of Medford Leas agreed that they would decide for themselves what activities they wanted to pursue. They created the Medford Leas Residents Association (MLRA) to govern and to manage activities for a healthful, enjoyable, active and useful community life.
The MLRA is committed to the common interests of all residents and to a productive and positive working relationship with the Estaugh Board and Medford Leas administration. All residents, on both campuses, are members.

Resident committees manage all of our activities: programs in our theater, lectures by guest speakers and residents, concerts by artists from the Philadelphia Orchestra, Curtis Institute, and exhibits in our gallery by regional as well as our many resident artists.
Volunteers organize the many social events and floral displays, provide in-house mail distribution, run the gift and thrift shops, and maintain the trails. And they write, design and publish two newsletters, a literary journal, and this website.
